One anonymous writer last century put it like this:

ONE SOLITARY LIFE

He was born in an obscure village, the child of a peasant woman.

He grew up in still another village, where he worked in a carpenter's shop till he was thirty. Then for three years he was an itinerant preacher.

He never wrote a book. He never held an office. He never had a family or owned a house. He didn't go to college. He never visited a big city. He never travelled two hundred miles from the place where he was born. He did none of the things one usually associates with greatness.

He had no credentials but himself.

He was only thirty-three when the tide of public opinion turned against him. His friends ran away. He was turned over to his enemies and went through the mockery of a trial.

He was nailed to a cross between two thieves. While he was dying his executioners gambled for his clothing, the only property he had on earth. When he was dead he was laid in a borrowed grave through the pity of a friend.

Nineteen centuries have come and gone, and today he is the central figure of the human race and the leader mankind's progress. All the armies that ever marched, all the navies that ever sailed, all the parliaments that ever sat, all the kings that ever reigned, put together, have not affected the life of man on this earth as much as that ONE SOLITARY LIFE.

Another more recent writer, Gordon Bailey  wrote this prose based on Jesus claim:

"I am the way and the truth and the life. No-one comes to the Father except through me"

THE LORD JESUS CHRIST

Then he said `I am the Way' he was claiming that only he could lead man to God.

When he said `I am the Truth' he was claiming universal and exclusive rights on the ability to reveal God to man.

When he said `I am the Life' he was claiming to be that quality of existence sacrificed for and sought by men and gods.

He also claimed a supernatural birth, an impossible death, and a miraculous resurrection

His claims mean that he is either utterly insane, undeniably evil, or uniquely everything he claimed to be!

Who is Jesus? The most important question YOU will ever have to answer!

What answers have you got for :

• His unique birth (Matthew 1 v 18)
• His teaching with authority (Matthew 7 v 28-29)
• His miraculous powers (Matthew 8 v 23-27, Matthew 9 v 18-25)
• His compassion for, and understanding of, people (Matthew 9 v 36, John 3, 4, 8 and 9)
• His wisdom (Matthew 22 v 15-22)
• His claims about Himself - the 7 "I am"s in John, Mark 2 v1-12, Matthew 26 v 63 -64)
• His fulfillment of scripture (Matthew 1 v 21-22, Matthew 8 v 17, Mathew 21 v 4-5, Luke 24 v 36-49)
• His death (Luke 23 v 32-49)
• His resurrection (Luke 24 v 1-8, 1 Corinthians 15 v 1-29)
• His call for a response to him (Mark 1 v 14-20, Matthew 9 v 9, Luke 19 v 1-10, John 3 v 16-17, John 20 v 24-31)

Son Of God? Someone you want to be friends with? A liar? A fool?

Remember God's Word the Bible tells us that

"neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus" Romans 8 v 38

that means that nothing you have done can stop God loving YOU!

and that

"God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life"

that means that Jesus died for the bad things in YOUR life

It also means that right now you can come into a relationship with God through Jesus.

The proof one way or the other? You only have to sincerely ask Him through a prayer like this
