Pastoral Care

Aim

Relying on God's help and the promptings of the Holy Spirit we seek to ensure that everyone is loved, valued and cared for within the fellowship at Dronfield Baptist Church.

This will be monitored and overseen by the Pastoral Team (and Elders where appropriate).

Our Vision

We want to

build a loving supportive fellowship that reaches out to others

build trusting relationships so that people feel able to share openly

support without being judgmental or forcing our opinion on others

provide better support for the men within our fellowship

facilitate and encourage a Healing Ministry within the Church -Prayer Team to share in this

seek to improve what we are doing and stop people "falling through the gaps "

We will do this by

meeting regularly as a Pastoral Team

supporting Fellowship Groups

working with Prayer Triplets and Prayer Chains

offering personal visiting by the Elders, Pastoral Team and other people within the Fellowship

offering day to day practical help e.g. meals, transport, shopping as need arises

making everyday caring relationships

allocating people as appropriate to have a `watching brief'

listening to those around us and responding appropriately

supporting the mentoring of New Christians together with the Discipleship Team

offering mentoring/supervision within our team if appropriate

updating the Pastoral Section of the Prayer Guide

seeking training as required

respecting confidentiality

providing "Newcomers Evenings" approximately every 3-4 months depending on need

offering mediation where misunderstandings or disagreements have occurred

supporting the whole work in prayer

It is our desire that this will overflow into the community as a means of drawing others into the Love of Christ.
