MUSIC GROUP
The music group has continued to be involved in the leading of worship on Sunday mornings. We have also lost two of our stalwart members to University - Dan Brennan and Jonathan Firth. We thank them for their contribution, it is always good to see them and we are pleased when they join in with us when they are home. We really do need more musicians and singers to join us as we seem to go from many members available on one Sunday to having virtually no-one the next week, so come on musicians and singers come along and join with us and enjoy making music and praising our Lord.
Once again I would especially like to thank Lesley Charles for her involvement with the younger musicians over the Christmas period and also in arranging for music during the offerings, it’s really good to see our younger musicians developing and growing in confidence.
We still have vacancies in both the visual and audio part of the weekly worship, in particular the audio cover, so anyone who would like to learn how to operate the audio system, please see Steve Pillar or myself as soon as possible. I would like to thank both the Visual and Audio teams for all they do to enhance our Sunday worship.
This year I am looking to step back from leading the Music Group and would welcome offers of help for organising the Sunday morning worship. I still want to be part of the music group but it is time someone else or more than one person (maybe someone younger!!) took over. If we had a group of people we could work on a rota system, so I would ask you to prayerfully consider if this is something God is calling you to do.
We look forward to another year of praise and worship and hopefully welcoming some new members.
