Have you thought about Fellowship Groups
Do you go to one yet?
Would you like to try one?
Fellowship: " 'Fellowship' is all about participation or sharing, it speaks of a two-way relationship. Paul tells us that God has called us 'into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ' (1 Corinthians 1:9) and John declares that 'our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ' (1 John 4:3). 'Fellowship' describes the unique relationship that we have with God through Jesus, which overflows into our relationship with other Christians."
(Simon J. Robinson)
What happens at Fellowship Groups?
Meet to study the Bible - sometimes using Bible Study notes, sometimes an exploration of character, sometimes a discussion - usually led by the group leader.
Have times of prayer - many people find that the Fellowship Group offers great support and security and people are able to share things to be prayed for in confidentiality, providing love, care and support.
Cups of coffee!! Social events!
When do Fellowship Groups take place?
On the first and third Tuesday/Wednesday of every month.
Who hosts Fellowship Groups?
There are five groups currently meeting:
Central Group - led by Ron and Marilyn Fenn
Coal Aston Group - led by Elaine Sanders.
Manse Group - led by Alison Simpson
Painters and Lakes Group (Gosforth Valley) - led by Gill Smith.
Hillside - led by Ruth Jenkinson
All of the above meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the evening at 8pm.
Daytime Group - led by Joyce Sorrill
The daytime group meet on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month in the morning at 10am.
What do you do now?
If you would like to 'try out' a Fellowship Group for yourself, why not talk to one of the leaders?
Don't feel restricted to attending the one nearest where you live - choose any. Why not try them all out and choose which one suits your needs best? In the Church porch there is a notice board which highlights all the groups' programmes. If you used to go to a group and have 'dropped off' - don't be embarrassed - we'd love to see you at one of the groups.
So get those diaries out and write in Fellowship Group on the first and third Wednesday of each month.
